Normal wear from use. We purchased this press decades ago from the Weldon Stump company of Cincinnati. We used it very, very seldom, about 5 times in 30 years, so its condition did not deteriorate with us.

Smaller notches cut into a 1/2" steel plate laid on the main table will help when broaching a smaller part.
