“This absolutely complete, universal horizontal mill includes a fully functioning 360° TOS rotating vertical head. There is very little wear. It sat for a year or two in a retiring dealers heated warehouse. We temporarily took it off our truck into indoor storage, with excessive humidity; in only 3 months, foolishly having not oiled the bare machined surfaces, it acquired some surface-only rust. This fully featured milling machine needs some light de-rusting (wire brush) and will ABSOLUTELY be ready to do precision work- using the standard 3-axis, geared, power feeds to the table.”

COMMENTS:

This all cast-iron horizontal, universal milling machine was carefully designed and built of close-grained cast iron construction, using time tested design characteristics.  It works exactly like any other mid 1960s-’70s American milling machine, BUT is much newer- we guess about 1985.  Using standard tooling available everywhere, and selecting from its 18 speeds and 32 power feed rates, this machine is sure to enable you to do a great job- performing all horizontal milling functions such as slotting, grooving, surfacing, notching, beveling, drilling and gear cutting etc.  With its universal table, teamed up with indexing centers, it can also mill rotary work, and cut helical gears etc.  With the fully enclosed drive train, starting with the TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) flanged motor the drive train from the motor on down stays clean and hassle free.  Moreover with the added flexibility of the fine TOS all-angling vertical head, this machine can do a full range of milling capabilities, with more rigidity than a ‘Bridgeport” style ram milling machine… and remember, with geared power feeds in all directions, you can go get a coffee while it makes money for you. 🙂
