Milling, vertical, K&T Milwaukee Mod.H, 10×50 table. Power X,Y & Z

$3,900.00 USD

“Price reduced! Normal wear from use. This machine appears robust and in mostly original grey paint. It has all feed and speeds and appears to be complete and runs ok. There are no cracks or welds, and no major leaks. For a machine of experience, the table is remarkably free of ‘error cuts’ or divots. We believe that all the gears in the drive train are complete along with the speeds and feeds.. Also see the notes below for more details. The motor runs well. We chopped the price as it needs one replacement gib as the X axis gib seems missing. NOTE: Complete parts manual is available for this model- you can compare the dwgs: http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/2098/6562.pdf”

COMMENTS:

This heavy-duty milling machine still has lots of miles of milling to do.  One day, shortly before closing and moving out to a new location about 1995, and left us some equipment in lieu of rent owing.   We sold the building and moved the remaining machines to our indoor warehouse.  Our business went through a lot over the last 20 years, many items sat around as we dealt with other big problems.  This machine was totally ignored.  Then we decided this fine piece of American iron deserved to find a new, appreciative owner.

The former operator told us before leaving, that he needed another vertical mill … “because this one wasn’t milling straight.”  No wonder!  We discovered the X axis gib was missing. Someone had removed it and the table could be visibly wiggled!

See several Youtube instructions by searching “make machine gib” .

All the old Cincis and Milwaukees are slowly disappearing.  Now’s your chance to pick up this classic; it looks identical to the “Milwaukee No. 2, Model H”, illustrated on page 4 of K&T’s Parts Manual. See this at http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/2098/6562.pdf

We can tell you the best way to get it into your garage or small workshop, if you’re a private machinist, saving even more 100s of dollars. We’ll have a gib made up, at cost.
